A friend of mine once told me that every time you meet someone or see
someone is an opportunity to build your business. That is why I have
always used the catch phrase, "BAMFAM" Build A Meeting From A Meeting!
Get excited about your business and realize that every time you see someone, every time you go out to eat, every time you even pay a bill that is a wonderful opportunity to mention your business or you can build your business.
A tip I do quite often each month is when paying a bill, I include a business card with my information and website link. Someone has to open the mail to get your payment out and process it. Someone will see it. You have an amazing opportunity to build a business for yourself and not only for yourself but for someone who does not know that they can start too and get out of the JOB (just over broke) that most of us are in. They are not going to know unless someone tells them.
When I meet friends for lunch, I wear something that shows the business I am. I am a walking billboard for my business. I do not try and push people but I am ready when someone responds, I like your shirt what is SFI? Or I am constantly making statements that, I am glad I don't work at that 9-5 job any more, I like being in control of my own future and success. The business will sell itself. When people see you successful and happy they will want to get on that happy train.
Above all remember to stay active and do something no matter how trivial each day to keep moving in the direction you want to be. You have heard it said, that a body in motion stays in motion. That is not only true in your own body but it is true in business as well. If you keep active and keep moving and keep plugging away, you will get there.
